Introducing MotherFolk by Candlelight: adults-only writing circles for mothers at every stage. Using writing, community, and candlelight to put down our motherhoods in the heart of the winter hustle. Motherhood evolves, but the need to be held never ends. MotherFolk by Candlelight offers childcare-free gatherings designed to give you uninterrupted space created entirely for you and your feelings. Whether you’re the mother of a baby, a toddler, a child, a teenager, or even a grown-up - MotherFolk by Candlelight wants to hear your story. This circle is about shelter and what that means when you’re a mother. Where do you find it in winter? What does it cost you? Is it as simple as a warm home hidden from the brutal elements? What if your inner landscape is a storm? And what happens when you're the shelter? We will explore shelter inside and out, around you and within you. Together, we will create a momentary shelter from whatever storm you're facing. If you'd like a tea or a hot chocolate, please add it on at checkout! We can also take orders on the day, but it will be cash payments only in person. We'll also bring some biccies!
