Wondering what it might feel like to run your own MotherFolk community?
18 months ago, I had my second baby, and my heart sank at the thought of going to more baby groups where nobody knew my name or my real story.
I sheepishly asked my local bookshop if I could run a writing circle for new mums and their babies, with my own 2 week old baby strapped to my chest. They said yes.
Today, we hold Writing Circles in multiple beautiful locations across the North East, each one oversubscribed with lengthy waiting lists and mothers returning again and again and again.
This first year in business has shown me one thing - mothers want a different kind of motherhood
culture.
It’s time to invite franchise owners to help scale up MotherFolk, so that more mothers can access supportive, mother-focused communities across the UK.
Do you have what it takes?
The Franchise Opportunity
We are looking for warm, community-minded mothers who want to build their own business and join the MotherFolk family.
Owning a franchise is the perfect balance of autonomy and connection - you run your own work, on your own terms, while being grounded and nurtured by a network already trusted by mothers.
You can choose your preferred ownership style to run your franchise:
Owner-Operator
Taking a hands-on approach and delivering classes at the heart of your community.

Management Franchise
Employ and train a small team of practitioners to handle the day-to-day delivery of your classes while you focus on more strategic and operational matters.

WHY CHOOSE MOTHERFOLK?
Just as we work hard to ensure our circles are safe spaces for participants, it’s important that franchise owners feel safe and held by MotherFolk as you build your own communities.
Franchising enables us to say to MotherFolk franchisees, you are the main character, this is your (business) baby, we trust you.
But it also provides franchisees with the grounding of our systems, processes, and support network that you will need to establish a thriving income without disrupting your nervous system or parental rhythms, like the majority of workplaces do in today’s world.
