About the host

Hi, I'm Bridie (She/Her)

I can't wait to welcome you to a circle soon!

I am a Tyne Valley native, an enthusiastic reader, writer, singer and scranner. When asked about my hobbies, my husband once told a new acquaintance that I like TV. I couldn’t deny it.
MotherFolk circles held me as I grew into my motherhood. A warm space to reflect and realise was exactly what I needed and I’m so excited to hold that space for the mother folk of the Tyne Valley.

Frequently asked questions

We leave this purposefully open. We recommend that the group is most appropriate for mothers with babies from newborn up to walkers, but it's really about how comfortable you feel with your baby in your writing space. All children are different, and we trust you to know whether writing with your child accompanying you will work for you or not. And if you're not able to write very much, you will still be an important part of the group - you will still be invited to share and listen, and we can give you prompts to take home. If you're unsure about how it will work with your baby, feel free to contact us and we can chat it through with you!
